HTC already launched HTC U Ultra which is the second device in its 2017 line up the first being HTC U Play. New rumors and leaks suggest that there is the third smartphone in the U lineup codenamed HTC U (Ocean) and will be this year’s Flagship Smartphone.
It might look like a normal 2017 smartphone at the first look but it has some tricks up its sleeves. Instead of the regular volume keys on side of the smartphone, we get a touch sensitive frame.Instead of pressing buttons now you can control things like volume, zoom and many other things with swipes and gestures thanks to the Edge sense/Sense touch and Contextual UI.

You can set the frame to do the customizable action that you can perform on the screen such as swiping, selecting an option in the settings and zooming when using the camera. The sensors embedded the frame of the phone respond to gestures/swipe and performs the action.
The internals seems pretty much normal as a 2017 Flagship smartphone. HTC U Codenamed Ocean has a 5.5-inch QHD Display with the resolution of 2560 x 1440 and will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 chipset coupled with 4 GB of RAM and 64 and 128 GB internal storage. and expandable via Micro SD card slot.

The device will run Android 7.1 with HTC’s Sense 9 skin on top of it. There is a 12 MP rare camera with Sony IMX362 sensor and a 16 MP front camera with Sony IMX351 sensor as seen in HTC U Ultra.
This smartphone might also ditch the 3.5mm Headphone jack as its predecessor did. As of know, we have no idea when this smartphone will be available for sale.
