The company has begun teasing the device on their social media platform and the rumor mill has been going crazy with all kinds of leaks about it. Recently OnePlus has confirmed that the follow-up to Oneplus 3T, OnePlus 5 will be launched this summer to The Verge.

Recently the name of the device was confirmed when an image from china radio regulation authority was leaked on line. It showed the model number of the device and the antennas it will sport. According to the website, OnePlus 5 will have a 5.5-Inch Display with 2560 x 1440 Resolution and will have the latest 2.45GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC. It will retain 6GB RAM as its predecessor and will be coupled with 64GB/128GB Storage. Although some rumors suggest that it will have 8GB RAM.
OnePlus will join the Dual-Camera trend with 12 MP Dual rare-facing cameras and an 8 MP shooter for selfies. According to the leak, Oneplus won’t be adapting to the new 18:9 Aspect ratio as the Fingerprint scanner lies below the screen. Oneplus 5 will ship with Oxygen OS based on Android Nougat.

Rumors suggest that powering all this will be a 3400mAh battery with the companies impressive Dash charging 2.0. When it comes to the Price OnePlus is the reigning king of offering Flagship specs for a fraction of the price. It doesn’t disappoint this time around too. The 64GB model is rumored to be priced around $449 that is roughly Rs.29000. The device will start shipping anytime around June this year.
OnePlus has been dominating the market with its pricing and with Oneplus 5 it looks like the company plans to repeat the same. For anyone who thinks to shelling out 1000’s of bucks for a flagship is a waste of money, OnePlus has been the go-to choice. Although we have seen competition rising from other Chinese manufacturers, They don’t have the brand Authority Oneplus has in Western Market. And that’s a huge advantage for OnePlus.
