Reliance Jio has been making waves recently in the Telecom Industry. Now they are branching out into other services. There have been numerous leaks about a Jio DTH service and also about Jio Fiber. Jio Fiber the most awaited Fiber To The Home (FTTH) broadband Internet service has begun preview tests in six cities namely – Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Ahmedabad, Jamnagar, Surat, and Vadodara.

Jio Fiber promises blazing fast Internet at an affordable price. Some rumors even suggest that it might be the cheapest Broadband service provider in the country. The minimum speed is supposed to be 100Mbps. The information about the preview came out after a twitter user asked Jiocare for an update on Jio Fiber.

Reliance Jio started trails for Jio Fiber back in November 2016 in parts of Mumbai. while the company claimed that it would reach users as early as February 2016 but that deadline has been long gone. While Jio is still in testing stage ACT has become the fastest Broadband provider in India by launching 1Gbps internet in Hyderabad.

While we have no information about the pricing of the plans we expect Reliance Jio to follow the same strategy as they did with Jio Telecom Service. If rumors are to be believed then Jio Fiber might be an unstoppable force that India needs to change the Broadband Game.
