Xiaomi has unveiled it’s 2017 Flagship Smartphone Xiaomi Mi 6 in China. Most of the rumors and leaks came true while some didn’t. Mi 6 is priced at Rs. 23000 for 6GB RAM and 64GB ROM Variant and Rs. 27000 for 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM.
The Xiaomi Mi 6 will surely grab attention with its sleek design. The rounded Glass back with a metal frame around it makes it stand out. Xiaomi has also announced a Ceramic variant called Mi 6 Ceramic.
Xiaomi Mi 6 comes with a 5.15″ Full HD Display and a fingerprint scanner below it. This device is powered by the latest 10nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC which is also used in Samsung Galaxy S8 and Sony Xperia XZ Premium.
Unlike last years attention grabbing Xiaomi Mi Mix, Xiaomi Mi 6 doesn’t have an end to end display. Despite having regular Top and Bottom bezels Xiaomi has chosen to omit the 3.5mm Headphone Jack and go for a USB-C connector.
The Dual-Camera Setup at the back has a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens with 4-axis OIS and another 12-megapixel telephoto camera for 2x lossless zoom. The Binocular Imaging system and Deep learning algorithm help to create amazing depth of field shots and also comes with beautify 3.0 and Natural color correction.
Mi 6 comes with 2×2 Wi-Fi Technology for 100x better speeds along with Better and Wider connectivity. Xiaomi has tried to make up for the lack of 3.5mm Jack with a Dual Stereo Speaker. These are located at the top and Bottom of the device. The whole device is powered by a 3350mAh Non-removable Battery which is the biggest among all devices with similar screen size.
Xiaomi has not skipped any features in order to keep the price Low. Mi 6 comes with NFC and Splash Resistance. The smartphones also come with a Hybrid SIM Slot which can also be used to expand the Storage.
Mi 6 comes with Android 7.1 Nougat with its own MIUI running on top. MIUI brings its own set of optimizations to the device like Freezing Background Data and Battery saving mode.
Although Omitting 3.5mm Jack was a stupid idea. Xiaomi Mi 6 Brings everything needed in 2017 Flagship smartphone for a fraction of the price. There is no Information about the availability of this device in India. The ceramic variant of Xiaomi Mi 6 does cost more than the regular variant. It is priced at roughly Rs. 28000. It is highly likely that Xiaomi will launch a bigger variant of Mi 6 like they did with Mi 5 and Mi 5s.
